Let’s face it. Nothing boosts a resume and shows leadership in your field like conducting research.

That’s why the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is here to support you through a variety of services.

We want to see you succeed. That’s why we’ve started a mentorship program that provides access to research clubs where you can connect with others who know the process. Whether it’s your first time researching or your hundredth time, this club can help demystify the parts of the process that are difficult.

Costs involved with research don’t have to be a burden. The ORSP offers student grant money that picks up the costs associated with conducting and disseminating research.

There are multiple opportunities to get your hard work recognized. In addition to providing grant money that helps you get to conferences where you can present, ORSP hosts Research Day. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply for Research Day to get their research posters seen. Research Day is an opportunity to earn recognition in the form of awards, which, of course, look stellar on your resume. In addition, our office coordinates with The Journal of Student Research to help get your published.

IRB Help

Our office processes IRB applications and helps busy students by ensuring they have all the required information.

We're Here For You

If you haven't been able to tell, we’re total research nerds. It's all we ever think about and talk about. So, if you feel stuck in the research process, come talk to us. We’re located in VOCR 152 and open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Research Posters

Creating a visual to accompany your research is pretty important. They can be a great starting point for discussion while neatly packaging your information. However, the creation process of these posters can be daunting. Well, fear not, because we have a little guide for your viewing and learning pleasure. You can view it here.

Before getting started, be aware that there are different formatting options: horizontal, vertical, and NCUR. Click on each name to view the corresponding template.

Once your poster is created and free of errors, it's ready for submission. You can access the poster submission form here.
