UW-Stout welcomes international guests for the Polytechnic Summit. Following the Polytechnic Summit’s traditional format, the event will be carried out in English only. Refund/Cancellation Policy:

  • A $30 cancellation fee will be assessed for any cancelled orders through May 15.
  • No refunds will be made after May 15.
  • Substitutions can be made at any time. Please email Profed@uwstout.edu to receive replacement attendee information next steps.

Cobblestone Inn & Suites at UW-Stout Downtown Menomonie - within walking distance to UW-Stout Campus

$93 USD, per night, June 1 - June 6, 2019. Rate valid through May 1, 2019.

Oaklawn Inn - bed and breakfast, approx 2 miles from UW-Stout Campus

$105 USD, per night, June 1 - June 6, 2019.

Hampton Inn & Suites Menomonie UW-Stout - approx 2 miles from UW-Stout Campus

UW-Stout Residence Hall

On campus lodging within a UW-Stout residence hall will also be available for $30 per person, per night. On campus lodging may be purchased during the conference registration process.

Each room has two twin beds but will be assigned as single occupancy. There are shared bathroom facilities and semiprivate showers on each floor. There is wireless internet access available within the common areas and in the classrooms. Basic bedding is provided (blanket, sheets, pillow with pillowcase, body towel and washcloth) but personal hygiene items are not supplied. 

Travel, Taxi and Airport Shuttle Information

The nearest airports are the (MSP) Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (1 hour 15 min.) and the (EAU) Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (45 min.). There is a commercial shuttle service available for each airport. Major car rental companies are also available at each airport. Please note that while attending the Summit, all activities on campus are within walking distance but the only hotel that is within walking distance of campus is Cobblestone Inn & Suites. The others are not generally considered within walking distance (approximately 2 miles for most).

 

From Minneapolis/St Paul Airport (MSP):

You will need to book a local taxi service for transportation from the shuttle drop off location (AmericInn - 1915 N Broadway St, Menomonie, WI 54751) to get to the hotels listed above or to UW-Stout.
